Cosmo Crawley played a total of four 1st class cricket matches - two of them for Oxford University the other two against Oxford University. He made his 1st class debut for Hampshire against Oxford Uni in 1923 and then played for the University once in each of the following seasons (1924 & 1925). He then took four years off before representing Middlesex for one game against them in 1929.
In 1939 Cosmo Crawley, alongside John Pawle, beat the 3rd & 4th Lord Aberdares, then aged 54 & 20, in the British amateur Real Tennis doubles championship final. Despite getting beaten 14-3 the 4th Lord Aberdare was said to have considered it his proudest moment.glynde.info/history by Andrew Lusted & Chris Whitmore is licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 4.0 International License.
