BEDDINGHAM

Robbery. During the night of Monday last the cellar of Mr Colegate's house, Beddingham [Preston Court Farm], was broken into by removing the iron bars and taking out the windows, when a quantity of port, sherry, and orange wine, some gin, two cheeses, and 7lbs of candles were chosen therefrom. A pane of glass was removed at another part of the house, and it is supposed the burglars were disturbed, before they obtained an entrance, by one of the sons getting up and opening his bedroom window.
