RENOVATION

The old Grape Vine cottages, which for many years have been an attraction for many artists, and pictures of which have been exhibited at the Academy, have recently been renovated and now present a very pleasing sight. The date of their erection appears to be unknown. Formerly grape vines surrounded the building, hence the name, but the only vine now remaining is on the south wall. Mrs E Taylor has resided in one of the cottages for 31 years.

[Editor's note: We can find no trace of Mrs E Taylor and assume that this is an error. Mrs E Turner (Sarah, wife of Edwin) fits the bill and can be seen in the Turner family group photo.]
