FRIENDLY SOCIETY - On Thursday, the members of this Society celebrated their anniversary at their usual house of meeting, the Trevor Arms. The dinner - towards which, as well as to the fund, the noble owner of the Glynde Estate, Lord Dacre, contributed most liberally – was served up in first-rate style by Mr Underwood. Music (vocal and instrumental), old English sports, etc, agreeable filled up the time till the hour of separation.
